One of the Best Nights of My Life
As a big Paul Anka fan growing up, I listened to his first 7-8 albums on rotation in my youth. When he was coming to town, I started playing the hits for my kids (17,13 and 9) and they loved them, even though I hadn't really listened much in the last twenty years. We had big expectations going into the concert, knowing he was supposed to be a great performer. He certainly exceeded them on every single level. It was like a couple of hours of the best moments of Christmas smack in the middle of June for me, my wife, and my kids. He played all the favorites and mixed in some great cover songs. There were also some songs off the album that didn't make the radio, which was a treat for a real fan like myself. My only complaint was that the concert started 1.25 hours later than stated, even though we arrived early. I would certainly wait that long again.
